Customer Information

Bookings
We do take bookings, but also leave room for customers who are not able to book in advance. If you don't have a reservation, please come along anyway or give us a call. If there are no tables free we run a waiting list. We don't reserve any of our outside tables so if you enjoy a little alfresco dining these are on a first come first served basis. Please make bookings by calling or using our online booking form

Service
On arrival, please head to the bar for drinks, menus and to find out where you're sitting if you've booked.

If you haven' booked, simply find a table that isn't reserved and make yourself comfortable. Browse our menu which you'll find on the tables. If you can't find a table, please ask and we'll try to find one for you.

Food ordering
Sitting Inside - someone will pop over and take your order. Sitting Outside - please find a table, note its number and then order at the bar when you're ready.

The gardens and terrace
If you are eating outside on our lawns or terrace, it is a great help if you could make a note of your table number before ordering at the bar.

Dress code - Tops, Bottoms and shoes must be worn at all times.

Children and minors
The Strangers Home is a family pub and children are very welcome during the day when behaving respectfully and considerately to other guests. We have changing facilities and some high chairs available. In the evenings when we have live music, the pub is not very suitable for babies and toddlers.

Prams and pushchairs
We are able to accommodate prams and pushchairs, although some of the smaller areas are too constricted to allow us to do so. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need somewhere to store yours while you're with us.

Dogs
Dogs of the well behaved and 'on-the leash' variety are welcome in the bar area - we please ask for dogs to remain on the floor and not on the furniture.

If you are booking a table and bringing a dog please make us aware so we can assign a specific table for you.
